While the location was convenient, I did not a have positive experience here with a recent Glock 43x MOS purchase. The pistol came upgraded with AmeriGlo night sights under the Glock Blue Label program. The pistol was already a bit overpriced even with it being under that program. Their explanation was that it came with night sights - fine.
Unfortunately, with my luck, the rear sight was defective and the left dot did not have a tritium vial, so I effectively had two dots in the dark. Being I just purchased it, I reached out to NOVA and they told me to bring it in. I assumed they would install a new set or make it right, since they also sold the sights in their store.
To my disappointment, the rep blamed AmeriGlo and the Blue Label distributor who purchased the pistol and sights and had them installed. In the end, I feel as though I incurred the loss as I try to contact AmeriGlo to try and get new sights sent. They did offer to install it for free if I received a replacement 🙄. Thanks but I got that covered. Lesson learned - check your night sights on top of a functions check before you walk out.
Thankfully, I noticed this issue early on back home and not on a day of needing it.
**Update - I contacted AmeriGlo and they had a replacement sight sent out to me at no charge to myself.
Went into purchase my first handgun. The sales rep was not very helpful in answering questions and just seemed in a hurry. When I finally purchased a G19 he didn’t ask me if I needed help or go over any of the basics despite being a first time owner. I also didn’t find out they didnt give me any magazines, 3 of which are included with the G19, until I got home. When I had to come back to the store, they never even apologized for making me come back, or offered to do a final inspection of the gun in case anything else is missing. In fact one of the employees even handed me a wrong mag for a diff gun which I had to point out myself before almost going home with another missing item. Nice to have a gun store in Arlington, but definitely needs basic customer service improvement. Did not have a great first time customer experience here, will likely look elsewhere for upgrades or future purchases
They store served me well, and the stall was courteous. I live in Maryland and can't purchase clips over ten rounds. Was looking for a Ruger BX-25, and to my surprise they had the 15 round also. Since I penny pinch on my ammo, the 15-round mag hit the spot. I'm going to try using them as an FFL for my AR-15 purchase.
I wouldn’t have anything shipped through them! I traded a revolver for a rifle with a gentleman online and we both brought them to the an ffl to be shipped on a Thursday, the other party used NOVA. It’s now Sunday and while NOVA transferred the revolver to the other party yesterday (need that $35 transfer fee) they are just sitting on the rifle and won’t ship it till Tuesday! They have already made all their money from the deal so I guess they are in no rush to get people their property. And while in the middle of a conversation of the phone trying to figure out where my gun is and why it hasn’t been shipped they will just hand you off to someone else in the store who you have to explain the whole ordeal to over again and still isn’t helpful.
Love this store! Being from Arlington this is literally the best one stop shop for all your firearms, ammo and accessories, the staff is always helpful and persistent with answering any questions to guide me in the right direction. I will always be a returning customer and I recommend this store to anyone wether it’s your first time or you have been collecting for a while! The store is right on Wilson Blvd with good street parking and right in between Clarendon & Courthouse metro!
NOVA Armory is Top Notch! I got solid advice on a home defense handgun and gun safety training in the same week. Dean and Earl are particularly helpful, be sure to ask for them if you stop by. 5/5 Stars. A solid experience and I would definitely recommend a visit.
Honestly I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about these guys are very helpful and unlike other FFLs didn’t make it at all difficult to purchase my Glock 23, soon as I got in there they carefully handed me different types of handguns and made feel comfortable to handle them while they looked in their inventory.
a truly awful experience, compliments of this rude, incompetent, amoral club of aspiring profiteers. after messing up a very simple, important step with a new firearm install, the staff decided it was not worth their time to correct their mistake and proceeded to ghost me. on top of that, they sold me dirty, previously used magazines marked as “new”’ on their website.
luckily there are some other great gun shops in northern VA.
